We've created a draft of our introductory video. This video will be placed at the beginning of our instructional module to introduce the students to the module and to show them the whole task they will be learning. The next draft of our prototype will include this video.

Final Cut was used to create the video. I am working on having Camtasia or Captivate so that we can make the video more dynamic.
ReplyDeleteI liked this video as it started with a whole problem. Getting teachers interested in why the tool would help them is so much more helpful then plunging into instructions. Nicely done video.
ReplyDeleteI assume that your whole problem includes a number of other items besides the mechanics of using the web site. Do you plan to teach component skills about what makes a good comment, a better comment? What are rules for discussion board etiquette? It would seem that the real problem is not the commands for opening, posting, etc. but rather how to make meaningful comments, proper etiquette, etc. dm
